Summary: We really enjoyed our three night stay at the Brown Hen. Gwyneth is very quick to respond to communication and is a seasoned host! Linens were crisp and clean, beds were comfy for all of us and lots of space to hang out and settle in. The area around the property is beautiful, close enough to larger cities but out of the way so it feels like a real country experience. We felt very safe here. Would definitely stay again!

Summary: A wonderful place with brilliant views, surrounded by ample countryside. Gwyneth was the best host one could ask for, very friendly and helpful throughout my stay and indeed for both settling in and heading out. The place was lovely to stay in, featuring every utility you could desire, and felt very welcoming and comfortable as almost a home away from home. My only wish is that I could have stayed longer! For any undecided, The Brown Hen is definitely worth a stay.

Summary: Enjoyed our stay very much. Gwyneth is a lovely lady and very helpful. Location is peaceful and very quiet. Property very comfortable and clean, the washing machine was faulty but Gwyneth offered to do any laundry for us which was very kind of her. Definitely need transport as it is quite remote, but that adds to the ambience of the surroundings

Summary: The cottage was the perfect spot for us to explore the Irish countryside and coast. It had all the amenities we needed and more. Gwyneth was a fabulous hostess and checked in to be sure we had everything we needed. I would highly recommend the Brown Hen if you are visiting Cork County!

Summary: Warm welcome from Gwyneth upon our arrival. The location and cabin were perfect for our needs and was warm and comfortable when we returned after a day out. Gwyneth and Merv were great hosts and nothing was too much trouble. We really enjoyed our stay.
